Grab a magnifier and get ready to explore during our Fall Bug Safari Sept. 26 at 2 p.m. at Nelson Park. 🦋🐞🐜

Young explorers ages 6-8 will search beneath logs, leaves and soil for insects and other tiny creatures still active this fall. Through hands-on exploration, they’ll learn where bugs go as temperatures cool, how they survive changing seasons and why they play an important role in healthy ecosystems.

That’s a wrap on a twisted summer of fun at the Senior Center! 🌪💦 Members made a splash at Wacky Water Games last week, taking their best shot at dunking staff in a makeshift dunk tank, tossing water balloons and enjoying plenty of friendly competition.

Hi everybody! I’m Jax! 👋🐶

I recently turned 5, I’m a Pomapoo and, as you can probably tell, I’ve got the type of face you can’t say no to. My mom only knows yes.

I’m a very excitable guy. I have a lot to say, and I’m not particularly interested in keeping any of it to myself. I also love going on field trips with my humans. Grocery store? I’ll come. Home Depot? Obviously. The park? GET MY HARNESS NOW.

Now, some people might say I’m a little spoiled. I prefer “accustomed to a certain standard of living.” I don’t eat regular dog food for my meals. My food is prepared for me. And that’s human food only, thank you very much. 💅

I’m not completely unreasonable, though. I’ll happily accept dehydrated chicken or a bully stick when the occasion calls for it.

Speaking of special occasions, stop by for Paws in the Park this Thursday at the Dodge Park Farmers Market! 🐾💦 I heard there’s going to be a pawty in the splash pad and a parade. Finally, an event with the correct target demographic.
