Voting has been extended until OCTOBER 7!

WPRA Members, if you have not voted yet OR did not get your ‘BEST GROUND’ ballot in your email - contact [email protected] ASAP. The office will send another, no problem! (Ask me how I know 😁).

Stephenville had checks won from all three perfs and slack, on top of ground and bottom. TJ Self did a super job working our arena this year! Ryan Mahon built great footing too. It takes a team but Stephenville is committed to trying to do the best we can for great ground (in all events).

THANK YOU Justin Boots for sponsoring this award every year!

Back to back CHAMP

Tanner Green of Cotulla, Texas is no stranger to the title “All Around Champion.” Being grandson of the legendary Phil Lyne, competing in multiple events since he was a small kid, and just overall being “handy” comes naturally easy. Tanner won this same honor at the 2025 Cowboy Capital of the World PRCA Rodeo and while history repeated itself in 2026, an extraordinary feat is almost becoming ordinary to this young talent. Tanner competed in the Tie-down Roping and Team Roping at this year’s rodeo and won $1,747 for a 2nd place finish in the Tie-down, right behind Shad Mayfield’s record. Tanner won a trophy All Around Saddle as well as an embroidered Big “D” Products winter horse blanket and halter.

While the All Around win might have had a bit of repeat feels from last year, 2026 was definitely more exciting! His 2nd cousin Jagger Mauney was also competing the same night in the Pee-Wee Pony Race. Little sister London, as well as his Aunt Samantha and Uncle JB were also at the rodeo ready to cheer both boys on under the bright arena lights.

Rodeo is a family sport built on traditions. The Cowboy Capital of the World PRCA is honored to be able showcase talent of all ages and celebrate the rodeo cowboy every September!

THANK YOU Diamond 4D Ranch for being the 2026 All Around Saddle Sponsor!
