One Organization. Two Teams. One Foundation.

Brownwood Sting 12U and Stephenville Sting 11U met in Comanche last night for a pre-tournament scrimmage. But before the first pitch was thrown, the players came together for something bigger than baseball โ€” a player-led prayer.

Two teams bound by their faith in Jesus Christ, their love for the game, and the values we hope they carry long after their playing days are over.

Pretty special to see these young men understand what comes first.

๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฑ Coach Roston of our 11u Stephenville Sting team represented Team Lonestar in the World Baseball Classic this past weekend!๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

Roston Wienecke (Class of 2027, Stephenville, TX) was one of just 110 players selected to compete in the World Baseball Classic, where he earned Top 15 All-Tournament Team honors for hitting in the 17U/18U Division.

Wienecke finished 13th overall among the eventโ€™s top offensive performers. He showcased a polished, competitive approach at the plate, batting an impressive .375 over five games while posting a strong .444 on-base percentage, consistently finding ways to impact the game and reach base.

Roston was just as impactful defensively, turning the outfield, CF & RF, into a NO-FLY ZONE. He made several highlight-reel plays, including a game-changing sliding catch, a diving grab, and a standout leaping catch to rob a line drive over his head.

Talon Wienecke (Class of 2031, Stephenville, TX) produced a strong tournament performance for Team Orange 13U in the Bracket 2 Championship game, going 1-for-2 with a double and a run scored. Through five games, Wienecke batted an impressive .444.

Talon was named Top Performer of the Game in two of his five games, showcasing his impact on both sides of the ball. Defensively, he made multiple game-changing plays, including a one-hop dart to home plate from right field to throw out a runner attempting to score. He also displayed outstanding instincts at shortstop, turning two double plays to help anchor the defense. ๐Ÿโšพ๏ธ

Dominic Alaniz (Class of 2031, Stephenville, TX) went 2-for-2 at the plate while scoring a run for Team Charcoal 13U in the semifinal game. Through four games, Alaniz batted an impressive .500. He also had an OBP of .600.

Wyatt Stewart (Class of 2030, Stephenville, TX) made an impact for Team Purple 13U in the Bracket 1 Championship game, going 1-for-1 with a run scored. Through five games, Stewart batted .500 with 6 RBIs. โšพ๏ธ

Congratulations to Logan Olson, who was selected to play in the Perfect Game All-State Games in Houston, Tx. His team won the Championship in Bracket 2. Logan has played up on our Stephenville Sting team for several seasons & has done great!

Individual Highlights:
-Pitching: 16 pitches against 7 batters.
-1 Strike Out and 0 ERA
-Batting: 4 RBIโ€™s on the weekend.
-Semifinals game had a walk off to get them to the championship.

Congratulations to Trenton Jennings & Corbin Jennings who were selected to compete in the All-Texas MVP Games in Waco, Tx this past weekend. Their Lonestar team narrowly missed bringing home the Championship by 1 run in extra innings. Great work guys! Thank you for representing Sting Baseball so well!

Individual Highlights:
Trenton: Pitched 6 outs in 17 pitches with zero hits, zero runs, & 1 walk.
