As the school year come to an end, Thursday will be the last practice of the post season session. Good Luck to the wrestlers participating in Freestyle and Greco State this weekend. We will resume our preseason session in Mid August. Have a good summer and get in the weight room.

The Warrior Wrestling Club will begin its 2023 session on March 7th at 6:30 in the Sherando High School wrestling room. Stop by to see if WWC is the right place for your wrestler to improve this off-season. Or find Coach Straight this weekend at VAWA States for more information on the club and the tournaments he will be attending in the upcoming weeks. (Brochure to follow shortly)

Attention: Today (Thursday) will be the last practice of the postseason session. Take the time off to get stronger, watch technique, and set goals for the 2022-23 season. To the wrestlers competing this summer, "Good Luck". And if anyone needs anything send an email, message, or text. Stay tuned for the preseason session dates as we will be preparing for super 32 among other preseason tournaments.

Reminder May 7th and 8th is VAWA Freestyle and Greco state. You must register by May 5th at 8:00pm. Also, Tech Squad is looking to fill some weights this weekend at River City Duals. I will be there with Carter. (and Lucch) Weights are 74, 86, 91, 97, 148, 223, 288. Age group is 6-12 grades. Must have full usa membership.

To clear up some questions about WWC. We are an advanced club with our majority of wrestlers in High School and Jr.High. A knowledge of the basics is needed. We have had youth wrestlers in the past however know that our practice will be structured like a high school practice with higher level concepts for wrestlers who want to make a jump in performance levels. Please make sure your wrestler wants to be there. I will not know the make up, weights, or ages of the participants until after that first week. Any wrestler can see if WWC is a fit before committing to the session. However a USAW card is still needed to participate in any capacity in the room. I hope this helps to better understand what we are about.

The Warrior Wrestling Club will hold a postseason session that will start on Tuesday, March 8th and go until the end of May. As of now practices will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Sherando High School from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. Club is for experienced wrestlers of all ages. Stop by to see if WWC is right for your wrestler.
