The real trophy in coaching is just being a part of the success of the athletes you coach and the support of your family
A life as a coach can be very rewarding, as you get an opportunity to impact each athlete who is under your watch. Not only do you get to enjoy the thrill of victory on the court, but you get to see the victories in the lives of your athletes. You see their maturing and character growth. You get to see them bounce back after agonizing defeats. Most importantly you, with the help of the Lord, get to have a part in molding their lives, as you challenge them physically, socially, and spiritually. Billy Graham once said, “A coach will impact more people in one year than the average person will in a lifetime.” I owe the successes to my beautiful wife Kay and coaches that impacted my life and of course the Lord Jesus
