Thanks Jim and Wendy.
🌲 Adopter Spotlight: Jim & Wendy Davis 🌲
Jim and Wendy have been involved with the Ozark Trail Association for more than 20 years, dating all the way back to one of John Roth’s earliest crew leader trainings at his farm on the Courtois. What started as volunteering quickly grew into decades of trail stewardship, advocacy, and community involvement.
Over the years, Jim has served as an OTA Board member helping advocate for mountain bike access on the Ozark Trail, and later organized the inaugural OT100 mountain bike race fundraiser in 2014. Together, Jim and Wendy have continued to support the trail through adoption work, volunteer events, and countless hours spent improving and caring for the trail experience.
Today they maintain a beloved stretch of the Middle Fork Section near Barton Fen—just over the ridge from their “rock” farm in the Mark Twain National Forest. Whether they’re paddling, fly fishing, hiking, biking or simply wandering the woods, their love for the Ozarks and the trail community shines through in everything they do.
Jim and Wendy believe trail adoption is one of the best ways to build a connection with the forest while helping preserve the experience for future trail users. And they don’t mess around. They take pride in keeping their sections in near park-like condition through mowing, lopping, and leaf blowing. Ticks and chiggers don’t stand a chance!
🙏 Thank you, Jim and Wendy, for over two decades of dedication, leadership, advocacy, and care for the Ozark Trail community.
