💙🤍 ROLLER FAMILY — A MESSAGE ABOUT WHO WE ARE 🤍💙
As we get ready for Community Day tomorrow, we came across an article from 2021 that reminded us of something important about who we are as a program and as a community. We'll share the link below for anyone who wants to read it — but the message is what matters most.
In 2020, during one of the hardest years any of us can remember, our kids became state champions in the middle of a global pandemic. No perfect conditions. No easy road. Just heart, discipline, and a commitment to each other and to this town.
What made that team special wasn’t just the trophy — it was how they faced adversity. How they protected each other. How they put the team and the community first. How they proved that when Steelton‑Highspire is tested, we rise.
And here we are again, facing another challenge:
a second straight year without a home field.
But if there’s one thing our history has taught us, it’s this — we are no strangers to adversity. We don’t fold. We don’t complain. We don’t wait for perfect conditions.
We show up, we stand together, and we fight for our kids the same way they fight for each other.
Tomorrow’s Community Day is more than an event. It’s a reminder of our identity. Our pride. Our resilience. Our commitment to building something better for the next generation — even when the road is tough.
Just like in 2020, it still takes a village.
And this village is strong.
