5th Annual Routt County Council on Aging Tournament! Thank you RCCOA for having Steamboat Golf Club host your annual golf tournament once again. And a big thank you to all of the sponsors and donations given to support our elderly community in Steamboat!⛳️

August is here, and things are in full swing at Steamboat Golf Club! We’ve got a lot happening this month, and we wanted to share a few key updates with you — including upcoming tournaments, tee time changes, and a note on our recent growth.

🏆 Upcoming Tournaments – Join the Fun!
We have two great tournaments coming up in just a few days, and there’s still room to sign up!

Two-Person Best Ball Tournament
Saturday, August 9th | 8:00 AM Shotgun Start
$120 per team + greens fees
Open to the public!
Format: 18-Hole Two-Man Best Ball
Gross & Net payouts (shop credit)
Optional cash skins: $5/person per Gross & Net ($10 for both skins for each person)
*Active USGA/GHIN Handicap required for Net Scoring
Lunch included – catered by Big Air Catering (Steve Carlson)
Sign up by calling the clubhouse or writing your 2-person team on the sign-up sheet in the hallway!

August Couples Tournament
Sunday, August 10th | 4:00 PM Mini Shotgun Start
$20 per couple + greens fees
Open to the public – no handicap required
Format: 9-Hole Alternate Shot
Gross & Net payouts (shop credit)
Optional dinner after the round (additional fee), also catered by Big Air Catering (Steve Carlson)

Both of these events are a great way to enjoy some fun, casual golf and connect with others in the Steamboat golf community. Don’t miss out!

🕒 Tee Time Adjustments – Fall Is Coming!
As the days start to shorten and mornings get cooler, we will begin adjusting our tee time schedule.

Morning tee times: Our current 7:30 AM start time will soon move back to 8:00 AM and continue to shift as temperatures drop.

Evening tee times: The latest tee time is currently 6:10 PM, but we’re pulling that back by about 10 minutes each week to stay ahead of the earlier sunsets.

We appreciate your understanding as we adjust with the season!

🌱 Growing Pains – Thank You for Your Support!
We want to take a moment to thank all of you for your incredible support this summer. It’s officially the busiest season we’ve ever had! It’s very clear that Steamboat Golf Club has become a favorite among locals and visitors alike.

The increase in traffic unfortunately also comes with some growing pains including, but not limited to:

-Frustration with rounds taking a bit longer
-Regulars being paired with unfamiliar players
-Limited Tee Time availability
-Limited cart availability

We’re working hard to keep up with the demand and continue providing the personal and friendly experience you’ve come to expect. All we ask is for a little extra patience and kindness — with your fellow golfers and our hardworking staff. At the end of the day, we’re all here to have fun, enjoy the game, and be part of an amazing golf community.
