Designed to tune up and improve your kayak skills.

Never-Ever Classes
Students will become familiar with their kayak, equipment, paddle strokes and river safety in the pond. Soon we will use our newly learned skills and experience the rivers current while paddling down the Yampa River. Covering surfing waves, hole riding, ferrying, eddie turns, cartwheeling, rolling and running slalom gates. Half day to five day classes offered. Kids Classes
Ages

9 and up. 3 to 5 day camps offered. Family privates
Available for kids under 9 years old. Geared towards your group. Whitewater, touring and recreational kayaks

Mountain Sports Kayak School rents paddleboards, kayaks, and canoes

all crafts come in inflatable options that deflate and fit in your trunk or take them inflated and strap them to the roof.

rentals come with pumps or straps and all the gear you need to safely get out on the water.

We also offer delivery and river shuttles to make your day easier.

Whether you’re a total beginner we’ve got lessons and guided trips daily or ready to rent a kayak and do your own thing we offer 24 hour rentals

All equipment is included with lessons and rentals: Boat, PFD, Paddle, Helmet, Wet suit

We offer shuttles on the Yampa for Rentals: Drop off at River Creek Park pick up at The Transit center

We have:
Inflatable kayaks – for the nervous (a.k.a. comfort-first cruisers)
Sit-on-top hardshells – for the mildly adventurous
Sit-inside whitewater kayaks – for the “hold my paddle, I got this” crowd

Kids 8 and up can paddle in their own kayak,
Under 8? No worries — ride safe in a double kayak with an adult.
