The TroubleShooters have been busy along with Marksman Market planning our 2026 fundraiser. Calling all Bingo and Gun lovers here’s your chance. 20 games of Bingo for 20 guns. Tickets will go on sale September 21st at the Ag Center. Only 200 tickets will be sold and will include a meal. Bingo will be October 17th at the Ag Center. Please share and help make this a success so we can continue safely training these kids on Fi****ms and safety.

The Trouble shooters will be at the Iredell county fair on Sunday the 6th and Wednesday the 9th for the Meat raffle. Come out and get your tickets. If you can make it to the Fair and still want to support get with a member to buy some tickets.

There will be several NC walking the stage. Be sure to tune into the awards ceremony at 8pm EST on the National 4-H Shooting Sports page and wish them luck the rest of the week.

North Carolina 4-H Shooting Sports is competing on the national stage!

NC 4-H is proudly represented at the 26th Annual National 4-H Shooting Sports Championships in Grand Island, Nebraska. This year's state delegation includes 35 youth competitors, 9 coaches, along with many family members and supporters cheering on our talented 4-H'ers!

North Carolina teams are competing in the following disciplines:

🔷 Recurve Archery
🔷 Air Pistol
🔷 Air Rifle
🔷 Hunting Skills
🔷 Muzzleloading
🔷 Smallbore Rifle
🔷 Smallbore Pistol
🔷 Shotgun

This year's event is the largest National 4-H Shooting Sports Championships to date, bringing together 767 competitors from 42 states. Scores are posted each evening throughout the competition, so be sure to follow along and support our 4-H’ers!

Good luck to Oleander S. this week as she competes at the National 4-H Shooting Sports Tournament in Nebraska! Oleander is proudly representing both Iredell County and North Carolina as a member of the Hunter Skills team.

We also want to give a huge thank you to two of our volunteers, Barry and Dakota, who are in Nebraska as well serving in important roles. Dakota is volunteering on the shooting ranges, and Barry is serving as the Hunter Skills coach for the North Carolina team.

Join the Iredell County 4-H Trouble Shooters!!

The Iredell County 4-H Troubleshooters are hosting Interest and Safety Meetings for youth ages 8–18 and their families who want to learn more about joining the 2026 program year. Participants will have the opportunity to explore disciplines such as archery, shotgun, rifle, pistol, muzzleloader, and hunter skills while learning how 4-H promotes life skills in a safe, supportive environment led by certified instructors. Join us on Thursday, March 12 and 26 at 6:00 PM at the Iredell County Ag Resource Center Auditorium in Statesville.

North Carolina 4H State Hunter Skills tournament. Great day for Iredell county with 8 kids competing. our Trouble shooters senior team 1 brought home 3rd place. Ty Anderson was 4th place overall with the top 5 being close within 20 points of each other. Junior Hunter Walker was 4th overall also with the top 5 being within 10 points of each other. All the kids done great and we are ready to start a great year shooting and teaching these kids about safety and life skills. If you are interested in sponsoring the team please reach out.
