What a great weekend for our 2026 Member-Member! ⛳️🏆 We were fortunate to have some beautiful weather, great competition, and an exciting finish to cap it all off!

Congratulations to our 2026 Member-Member Champions, Derek Osborne and Brandon Gregory! 🏆

Derek and Brandon outlasted runners-up Kirk Domanick and Jason Thompson in a thrilling shootout that came down to an extra playoff hole!

Today, we pause to remember the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the extraordinary courage shown on September 11, 2001. 🇺🇸

This day holds an especially meaningful connection to the SCC family. Our very own Tom Beatty served as a member of the NYPD during the 9/11 attacks, answering the call to serve during one of our nation’s darkest days.

Many of our members know Tom today as one of our weekend starters/rangers on the golf course. We are incredibly proud to have someone with Tom’s history of service as part of our SCC team.

Today, we honor Tom and all of the first responders, service members, and Americans whose courage and selflessness defined that day.

🎉 Please join us in congratulating J.R. Miller on his promotion to Food & Beverage Manager at Statesville Country Club!

J.R. joined the SCC team as a bartender in November 2022 and has continued to grow within the Club ever since. Before joining us, J.R. spent five years as an independent professional wrestler — so we think he’s more than prepared for anything F&B can throw his way. 😂

Outside of the Club, J.R. is a proud new dad to his one-year-old son, enjoys getting out on the golf course whenever he can, and is a big Carolina Panthers fan. 🏈⛳️

We’re excited to see J.R. step into this new role and look forward to his leadership as he takes the reins of our Food & Beverage team. Congratulations, J.R.!

Our littlest members had the sweetest play date with Ms. Jalyne this morning while Mom & Dad enjoyed a little time to themselves. Happy kids + happy parents = a morning well spent! 💕✨

⛳️ Happy National Thank a Golf Course Superintendent Day!

Today, we’re proud to recognize our Golf Course Superintendent, Billy Woods, and thank him for the tremendous amount of work, care, and dedication he puts into keeping our golf course in pristine condition each and every day. Billy and his team work tirelessly behind the scenes, and we’re incredibly grateful for everything they do for SCC!

And what better way to celebrate than with a win! 🏆 Billy recently teamed up with Tyler Goff of Howard’s Fertilizer, one of our valued vendors, for the North/South Turfgrass Association Fall Brawl at River Run Country Club. The duo posted a 65 in the shamble format to take home the championship!

🌵 Succulents & Salsa! 🍹

Our members got creative with our Horticulturalist, Ann, for a fun evening of planting, sipping, and socializing!

Each member created their own succulent landscape bowl using beautiful cedar bowls that were hand-cut, lathed, sanded, and prepped by our Agronomy Team—making every piece truly one-of-a-kind. 🌿 A special thank you to our team for putting so much work into making these bowls for our members!

And of course, no Succulents & Salsa night would be complete without salsa and margaritas to finish off the evening. 🍹🌮

We love finding new ways to bring our members together - and they definitely went home with something special from this one! 💚
