As such we are very proud that the only Wushu school in Staten Island is located at Dolphin Fitness (Clove Road location), on the second floor. With history dating back thousands of years, it is considered as one of China's great cultural treasures. In the last 60 years, the Chinese government has been promoting contemporary Wushu as a National Sport that emphasizes health, physical fitness, and c

haracter development. There is a shift to concentrate on the performance application. The emphasis is on the beauty, elegance, and artistry. The body movements are a spectacular exhibition of showmanship; as seen in Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Fearless, and many more movies. Wushu has grown in complexity and quantity to fit every person's ability and goals of exercise.
