🚵♂️🌲 BUILDING SAFER TRAILS. BUILDING A STRONGER COMMUNITY. 🌲🚵♀️
The Nittany Mountain Biking Association (NMBA) is committed to more than building, maintaining, and advocating for great trails. We’re committed to making sure our riders, volunteers, and trail users have a safer experience every time they head into Rothrock State Forest.
That’s why we want to give a HUGE THANK YOU to Clearwater Conservancy and Olivia Stas for their generous support in funding Red Cross CPR/AED and First Aid for Severe Trauma (FAST) training for NMBA leadership.
💙 Your support makes a difference.
Because of Clearwater Conservancy’s investment in NMBA, the following officers and board members are now trained and certified to respond and provide care in the event of a crash, injury, or other emergency:
🩹 Willard Jackson - President
🩹 Dominic Daniels - Vice President
🩹 Rob Brawley - Treasurer
🩹 Jeff Molek - Trail Maintenance Director
🩹 Mary Angle - Webmaster
🩹 Jonathan Mayer - Board Member
This training was led by Kealy Daye, CPRP, Education Manager at the Pennsylvania Recreation & Parks Society (PRPS). We greatly appreciate Kealy and PRPS for providing our team with the knowledge, hands-on skills, and confidence to act when seconds count.
🌲 Trail safety is a shared responsibility.
Whether we're building trails, clearing hazards, leading rides, supporting events, or simply enjoying the outdoors, emergencies can happen. Having trained people in our organization who are prepared to respond can make a critical difference.
Clearwater Conservancy’s support is helping NMBA take an important step toward creating a safer, more prepared trail community. We are incredibly grateful for their partnership and commitment to supporting outdoor recreation and the people who make it possible.
🙌 Thank you, Clearwater Conservancy and Olivia Stas, for investing in NMBA and helping us make trail safety a priority!
And thank you to Kealy Daye and PRPS for helping prepare our team to respond when our community needs us most.
🚵 Take care of the trails. Take care of each other. Ride prepared. Ride safe.
