Flying VA Performance Horses

Flying VA Performance Horses Sharing offspring of Ima One Time Pepto that are either personally or client owned. I enjoy Clinton Anderson training methods, and watching the horse progress.

My name is Vanessa Arndorfer, and I am working on building up my reputation as a trainer in the equine industry. I have started many horses for myself and a few close friends, but am now opening up my services to the public. Currently as a college student, I am only offering c**t starting services to a limited number of outside horses. Please feel free to message me to receive price information and availability. I look forward to hearing from you!

His oldest foal crop are now riding! Dodger has passed on beautiful headsets, confirmation, trainability, and of course all the hair!

For himself - Dodger was a 1D/2D Jackpot horse & amatuer rodeo money earner. Retired sound.

I am extending his early booking special of $650 to the rest of our remaining contracts for 2025. Plenty of offspring photos with more to come from this spring!

Edit to add: For onsite breeding, mare care is $15/day dry, $17/day wet. No chute fee - $50 charge for basic AI work. We LOVE working through Imperial Reign for the breeding season. Your billing is extremely transparent & kept reasonable to ensure happy mare owners. 😁 old competition runs are in the comments! We pay into the IQHA Ranch Horse Futurity based on interest. If this is important to you, let me know!

Hello everyone šŸ‘‹

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted an update. & now that life isn’t slowing down, but becoming normal, I need to get some upcoming changes out to all of you.

Rewinding time back to August 2014, I remember a terrified young woman who went from graduating with a class of 35ish, to Iowa State University for her freshman year of college. She was absolutely terrified, and expected her new friend group to just fall into her lap (granted, she had maybe 2 friends in high school all together, as she was viewed as the ā€œweird horse/agriculture girlā€).

When that didn’t happen - and she found herself more in her dorm room than out and about…she decided she was going to buy a horse to fix the problem. That always works, right? Well it definitely worked for her! She drove 6 hours round trip to purchase her first weanling that she could do all the training with - halter breaking to riding. She had nothing better to do with her time - and wow, was that decision so worth it!

That little filly, who she ended up calling ā€œDaisyā€, was the reason she started going to more open riding events. After all, this little future barrel horse needed to see the sights!

After posting a few videos of Daisy as a 2 year old with the new skills she was learning under saddle, Flying VA C**t Starting - Horse Training was born.

Now I can’t remember how many horses I’ve taken over the years - but it’s been more than what I could’ve imagined. At one point in time, training was all I wanted too do full time. But one thing I heard over and over again, was that in order to be a successful trainer for the long haul - do not own your own.

That’s something I couldn’t ever do, no matter how hard I tried. So ever since the beginning, I’ve battled that time constraint of yours vs mine, which has always resulted in either:

Mine getting rode at 10PM+
Or
Mine not getting rode at all

And now…10 years later, I’ve decided it’s time to hang up the ā€œC**t starter/Trainerā€ title. I have so many young horses currently that either have a pedigree I’ve built - and/or wanted to ride. I have a career I’m chasing. I have a personal life that needs more attention than I’ve been giving. I want to take my weekends to enjoy life, and not feel guilty for having to add days back to my trainers.

In conclusion, this page will be undergoing a rebrand to promote offspring of Ima One Time Pepto that are available - whether it’s through clients or my own personal herd. Thank you to everyone who’s trusted me as a trainer and caretaker to their horses over the years. Maybe someday, I’ll open the doors to riding one every now and then. But for now, I’ll see you all at the Futurities in 2025 as I send my own off for the first time in a long time! šŸ’—

Vet Med Kits - there are sooooo many great videos on TikTok showing up of what you keep with you!

Even though I don’t do a lot of hauling with my own horses all being ā€œbabiesā€ā€¦I still keep a kit on hand. When it comes down to what I have in it, my mindset is to have anything and everything I need in order to get by until we can get to a vet or one to us.

But instead of going super in depth - I wanted to share 2 really simple things that I do, that I think can be great time savers in emergency situations.

1) Inventory Sheets - each compartment is labeled with what should be in it. I also labeled whether it’s in a tube or a med bottle. Along with organizing my needles and syringes by length, gauge, and quantity.

2) Medication Notebook - this contains each med I use, the dosage for an 1100lb horse, when it should be used, and whether it can be given IM, IV, or orally

Now comes the why. For me, anyone can panic in an emergency. It’s great to have confirmation that you can find what you need in a hurry, and double check the dosage/method of administration. I want anyone to be able to use this kit if they need it, whether it’s at home or with me at a jackpot.

Also, if you’re like someone I know who may or may not be me, who is greatly known for not putting things back where they belong, or making notes on what you need to restock - these things are lifesavers!

Let me know if you like this content, I’m happy to share more😁 my hoofpacking/abcess kit is a whole new box. šŸ˜…
