THIS FRIDAY!
Here’s a message from the family 😊
On July 29, Cal Coleman was diagnosed with a large brain tumor. It was the scariest day of the Coleman family’s lives.
However, less than two months later – thanks to God’s healing hand and the work of the wonderful medical professionals at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital and St. Jude – Cal is a walking miracle. A seven-hour long brain surgery on July 30 completely removed Cal’s tumor, and he’s now undergoing precautionary radiation treatments at St. Jude to ensure the elimination of any microscopic tumor cells that might remain as well as to prevent recurrence.
In the wake of Cal’s fight, the Coleman family – Joel (Dad), Katie (Mom), Cade (brother) and Chloe (sister) – have committed themselves to helping other families fighting tumors and other types of childhood cancers. They’ve established the Cal Coleman Collective in honor of Cal, raising funds to go directly to Le Bonheur and St. Jude so that the same treatment and support that saved Cal’s life can continue being there for other families in life’s most challenging moments.
This Friday, September 18, from 6 p.m until 9 p.m., Skate Odyssey is proud to host Spirit Night benefitting the Cal Coleman Collective with all funds raised going to Le Bonheur and St. Jude. Just mention Cal or the Cal Coleman Collective at the door and $5 of your admission price will go directly to the Cal Coleman Collective.
Donations will also be accepted if you’d like to contribute further or simply drop off.
If you can’t make it and would like to participate online, you can give to Le Bonheur and/or St. Jude in honor of Cal and his family at the following links:
