Hello USTA Family!

We’re all set and excited for testing tomorrow at the Stanwood studio — but before we begin, we want to take a moment to appreciate you.

These past couple of months have been a whirlwind: holidays, sickness, busy schedules, and plenty of unexpected obstacles. But despite all of it, you kept showing up. You stayed focused. You pushed yourselves.And it shows.

Even with only a couple hours a week together, your progress on the mat makes it clear how much work you’ve been putting in at home. That dedication, that discipline, that heart — it’s what makes this community special.

Thank you for your effort, your resilience, and your commitment to growing not just in Taekwondo, but in your personal lives as well. We can’t wait to see you all test tomorrow. Keep going — you’re capable of incredible things.

🥋 USTA Belt Ceremony Announcement 🥋

Hello USTA Family,

Testing week is here, and we’re excited to see everyone step up and show the hard work you’ve put in. Please make sure to confirm your testing time at the studio or on our previous post, and double‑check that you have everything prepared.

Once testing is complete, we’ll be coming together with our other USTA locations for our combined belt ceremony — a moment to recognize the dedication of our color belt students and to honor the achievements of our new black belts. It’s a meaningful milestone for every student, and we’re proud to celebrate it as a community.

Hello USTA Family!
I hope you’re all enjoying your Memorial Day weekend. I wanted to take a moment to open up and share a little about what goes through my mind on the mat while I teach.

I teach Taekwondo because I want my students to walk away with more than technique.
I want them to learn resilience through discipline, and to understand respect by meeting challenges head‑on.

Every class is a chance for them to show up for their own growth — to push a little further, stand a little taller, and realize what they’re capable of.

I teach because consistency builds character.
Coming back to the mat, even on the tough days, teaches commitment, courage, and the kind of confidence that stays with them long after training ends.

I want my students to feel supported, not just corrected.
To know that effort matters more than perfection.
To understand that respect isn’t just a bow, but a way of carrying themselves through difficulty.

My goal is to help them build strength in their bodies, clarity in their minds, and a community they can rely on.

Physical, mental, and personal growth — that’s what I want for them.
A place where they train with purpose, support each other with respect, and carry these lessons into every part of their lives.
