Northwest School of Martial Arts Northwest School of Martial Arts (NWSMA) is a family martial arts school established in 1988. We offer group karate and taekwondo classes in Stanwood, WA.

Enrollment is always open and new students welcome!! Find us at the Masonic Lodge in Stanwood~ We believe that martial arts is a path to a more confident and happier self! We teach Karate and Taekwondo to ages 6 & up. In addition to teaching martial arts techniques and self-defense, we strive to teach leadership and interpersonal skills to our students. We do this through stressing non-violence an

d self-respect, as well as expecting our students to work hard, be humble, collaborate and possess an indomitable “Black Belt Attitude.”

Our classes start with stretching and warmups, then break out into small groups. Students are grouped by belt rank and receive tailored instruction. Beginners can enroll any time and start learning right away! We focus on healthy movement habits, preventing injury, and correct technique. Our goal is to create a fun, pro-social learning environment, where students can learn at their own pace.
