Michaela Wurdinger's qualifications include a degree in Exercise Science with a minor in Coaching from Wayne State College, a certification in Personal Training that she's held since 2007, she is a licensed Emergency Medical Technician for the county of Stanton and is certified in CPR, AED and first aid. Both her and Melora Hirschman, co-owner, are passionate about this endeavor and wish to see it succeed with flying colors.

You don’t “fix” your metabolism with more cardio. You don’t “fix” it by eating less.

You fix it by building muscle.

Instead, because you want faster fat loss, you do the exact things that sabotage it.

Eat less. Do more cardio. Restrict and “eat clean.”

And that’s exactly why it backfires.

Because those things cost you muscle.

And muscle is what boost your metabolism.

So the more extreme you go…the harder fat loss actually becomes.

Stop chasing another extreme plan.

Go back to basics…

Lift heavy.
Eat enough.
Stay consistent.

I can't stress this concept enough. Social media makes us believe that if we aren't working out 2 hours a day, eating nothing but veggies and lean meat, taking supplements, losing weight, gaining muscle, stretching, and meditating EVERY SINGLE DAY that we are failures. But that's not true! I've had a HUGE shift in my workout schedule. I've gone from lifting 5 times a week to maybe 10 times a month. My priority is my children at this point. But that doesn't mean I'm failing. I do yoga. I do go for walks. I bike when I can. And I still try to eat well without killing myself to sustain "perfection." I do what I can. Is this the season of my life where I'm going to break a ton of records, win competitions, set new PRs? No. But am I losing ground in any aspect of my life? No! Just keep finding a way! It won't be perfect! Do it anyway! It will be WORTH IT!! 💪 😁

Mustang Fitness is a 24 hour gym, so there isn't generally supervision. Over 16 years, for the most part, people have been respectful of the equipment. But not always. I wish everyone understood the hardships of owning a small gym in a small town and would treat the gym better than they treat their home. Because, in the end, the damage done doesn't just affect the expensive equipment, but it affects the owner of the establishment, AND, all the rest of the members as well. 💔
