Cal Golf Club provides a way for student golfers to pursue their interests in golf through professional play, recreation, and practice. A central theme of Club Golf at Berkeley is our emphasis on closeness between all of our members. Through weekly practices at local golf courses and socials at least every month, all member gets to know each other on a much more personal level. To top everything o

ff, at the end of each semester, we have a weekend retreat at a location voted by the membership to celebrate the season's close. This aspect of our organization is what allows it to thrive as an community rather than simply exist as an institution. Along with events involving just the team, our organization opens up our services to the general population. Some of the programs include golf training events for people who are simply curious to learn, seminars on how golf pertains to the business world, and school-wide tournaments in which both faculty and students compete for an array of prizes and titles. Complementing our dedication to members, we believe in relaying our insight into golf to the mass. The club specializes in creating an atmosphere where there is always something new going on, whether it be team-building events, outings, or competitions with other schools. We strive to provide innovate member activities each month along with traditional events in order to provide a well-rounded, stimulating experience for every member. As Fall 2020 quickly approaches, we wanted to provide an update on our program. Cal Sport Clubs are preparing for a fully virtual Fall semester so we will not be hosting tryouts, in-person events, or competing in NCCGA tournaments until the spring.
