Troy was such a wonderful guy and has been a part of our gym family for years. Our hearts are broken. We ask that you join us in praying for all of his family and friends in this time of such loss. Troy will be so missed at Atomic.
Troy V. Hamm, 53, of Stanford, KY passed away unexpectedly in Stanford on Monday, June 29, 2026. Born on March 6, 1973 in Louisville, KY, he was the son of the late Vaughn Russell “JR” Hamm, Jr. and the late Brenda Dial Hamm.
A true outdoorsman, Troy enjoyed fishing, practicing traditional archery, hiking scenic trails, and canoeing. He shared a special bond with his niece and nephews, who he loved dearly. Professionally, Troy dedicated more than 20 years of his career as a Land Surveyor with AGE Engineering. Troy will be remembered for his quiet strength, his love of the outdoors, his unwavering dedication to his family, and the lasting impact he made on those who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
Survivors include one sister, Kim Shepherd (Clayton) of Crab Orchard, KY; one daughter, Kaitlyn Moore (Bryan); one niece, Ashley Brummett (Brian Crossan); two nephews, Rusty Hatter and Robbie Hatter (Katelin); two great-nieces, Maddy Moore (Connor Samons) and Shelby Moore (Lyndon Smith); and two great-nephews, Hunter Moore and Michael Hatter; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and his beloved dog of nine years, Atlas.
He is preceded in death by his parents, JR and Brenda Hamm; and brother-in-law, Mike Hatter.
A Celebration of life will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026 at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, KY. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The Celebration of Life will begin at 7:00 p.m. with Bro. Jonathan Grizzell officiating.
Honorary Pallbearers are Doug Gooch, Coworkers at AGE Engineering, and friends.
