Alison's Basic Horsemanship I'm here to help young people with an interest in horses and a desire to learn have an enjoyable and educational experience!

Come on out and get to know horses for yourself, and enjoy the incredible view of the Blue Ridge Mountains while you're at it. My horse, Phoenix and I can help you learn the basics of how to care for a horse, ride bareback, English, or Western, and enjoy quality time with the best animals on Earth. Even if you just want to come out and go for a trail ride, we can help. We currently have two horses to ride and care for. We would love for you to come out to the barn. :)

Hello Everyone! I would like to announce that there are 2 locations at which I can provide beginner horsemanship and riding lessons! 1 in Gordonsville on my horse Phoenix, and one in Stanardsville on my mother's pony, Annie. Only small children can ride the pony but my horse can take adults and larger children. I do Western, English, and even ba****ck riding lessons in addition to teaching the way around the horse and safety on the ground and in the saddle. The more you learn the better and more confident you will be and the more fun you will have!! All children are required to wear helmets and everyone must wear long pants and close-toed shoes.

If you, your child, or anyone you know is interested in a lesson please contact me via FB message, cell phone (text or call) and just let me know when your preferred time would be. I am available whenever it is daylight!!
*also available - pony rides! For your little ones who just want a safe and fun introduction to horses 💕

Prices -
1 hour lesson - $20
1.5 hour lesson - $30 (because 1 hr isn't enough)
2 hour lesson - $35 (really get into the details!)
30 minute pony ride - $15

Unfortunately I did not get any pictures :/ but on Sunday, Phoenix and Nacona and I had a great time giving pony rides at a fall festival!!
