The Pilates program at SUNY Purchase was first started with Romana Kryzanowska at the helm in the mid 70's. Simona Cipriani, the Director of "The Art of Control" was taught by Romana Kryzanowska and taught alongside he

r for many years. Simona created the current Professional Pilates Mat Certification Program that is accredited by SUNY Purchase as well as the Full Apparatus Program issued by "The Art and Science of Contrology Pilates Certification Program"(ASCPCP).
