Tricky Rick Racing

Nothing truer has ever been said. This was exactly what happened when Tricky Rick wrecked at Walden a few years ago. I could list names, but would forget someone, simply because everyone came together. If you were there that day you know, and THANK YOU!!!

There’s a thing that happens at motocross tracks that you don’t really understand until you’ve been around it long enough.

Somebody’s kid gets hurt.

And suddenly nobody gives a s**t what team they’re on.

The bike gets left wherever it stopped.

Somebody grabs the stand.

Somebody else starts looking for the parent.

A guy you’ve never met is already walking toward the ambulance.

Someone is holding a helmet.

Another parent is standing with the other kids because nobody wants them watching.

And there’s always that one person who quietly walks back to the pits and starts packing the family’s s**t into their truck.

Not because they were asked.

Not because anybody is keeping score.

Just because they’ve been there before.

And they know what it feels like to be the parent standing there with your stomach in your throat…

while a bunch of strangers suddenly become your people.

That’s one of the strangest things about motocross.

You can spend all day competing against somebody’s kid…

…and when it matters, you’re standing beside them like you’ve known them forever.

That kind of community doesn’t need a name.

You just know it when you see it.

The only way to do it is to believe in yourself. No one else can believe for you 🙌🏁

RACE RECAP - One last time at Jacks Racing with UpState Motocross USMX 🏁

USMX came back to Jacks again so of course we went back too!

This weekend we had our friends Huck and Jordan with us for practice. Huck is new to the sport so we spent some time helping him get used to riding on a track with other riders. He did great for his first time!
We also let Tim test out the Tricky Rick Racing 450 and Beaston got to stretch his legs on that blue and gray 90 shifter again 😉
Rick also went out and did great!
She was looking like our old Rick again 💪
Dad went out for practice Saturday and decided with his back hurting he should skip racing this weekend 😣

Race day:

Moto 1 - Rick comes out of the gate in second. It was Ethan, Rick, Kaci. Two fellow racers Rick started racing against when she started on her 90, just like old times 😄. Ethan gaps out ahead and Rick battles with Kaci but maintains second until the middle of the third lap when Kaci over jumps Rick on the back tabletop. Rick tries to fight back for her position but finishes just behind Kaci for 3rd place. It was a great race! Both girls fought hard!

Moto 2 - Rick pulls the holeshot 💪 There is a pileup at the start behind her. Rick makes it to the first tabletop after the tire and Ethan jumps by her. Rick maintains second to the checkers 🏁

Overall Results:
🏁Rick: Quad Schoolboy: 3-2 for a 2nd overall!

🩵 Overall takeaways for this weekend are:
Rick is back in the game and feeling good! We were so glad to see some old friends and help some new friends on the track. We are so proud of Rick for doing her best while also listening to her body. So far her back is feeling good and we are so glad for that!

Thanks to everyone who continues to support Rick on this journey. 💙
We can’t continue this without you!
Thanks as always to our sponsors!🏁
Facebook never let's us list them all so check them out in our comments below. They are truly the best!

We're not sure where we are heading next but you'll be the first to know!
