🎉 100 Years in the Making 🎉

On June 16, 1926, the vision for what would become our beloved country club officially began.

A newspaper article from that day announced that plans had been accepted for a new clubhouse and the purchase of 103 acres that would serve as the foundation for generations of golf, friendship, competition, and community.

What started as an ambitious dream a century ago has grown into a place where countless memories have been made, traditions have been built, and lifelong friendships have been formed.

As we approach our 100th Anniversary in 2026, we’re proud to celebrate the rich history of our club and honor the individuals whose vision and dedication made it all possible.

Here’s to a century of tradition—and to the next 100 years ahead. ⛳️🏌️‍♂️✨

🚨⛳ Important Reminder from SGCC ⛳🚨

Members, please review our pool hours and guest policies below. There are no exceptions to these rules. Continued infractions may result in fines or the revocation of club membership by the Board.

• Pool Hours: The pool is open daily from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Lifeguards are on duty from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

• Pool Registration: All members and out-of-town guests must register with the Lifeguard on duty before entering the pool.

• Out-of-Town Guests: Must be accompanied by an active member at all times while at the pool.

• Local Restriction: NO Stamford residents or students enrolled in Stamford schools are permitted as guests under any circumstances.

• Fishing/Swimming: General guest swimming (outside of regulated pool use) and fishing anywhere on club property remain strictly prohibited.

Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our club safe and enjoyable for everyone!
