19TH ANNUAL DEWEY LAKE KIDS FISHING EVENT TO BE HELD

PRESTONSBURG — The 19th Annual Dewey Lake Kids Fishing Event is set to be held at Dewey Lake at Stratton Branch (Swimming Pool Hollow) from 9 a.m. until noon on Saturday, June 13.
The event is free. There are no registration fees or costs.
The event is open to children age 15 and younger. Each child must have a parent or guardian present with them. No drop-offs will be permitted.
Children do not need a fishing license nor do the adults who are assisting them.
Adults fishing alone do need a license.
Fishing poles, bait and tackle will be provided. However, children are encouraged to bring their own fishing poles, bait and tackle.
Volunteers will be on hand to assist all of the children.
Prizes will be awarded by age group for the highest total weight of fish at the end of the event.
All fish species can be turned in for prizes.
Fishing from the bank only will be allowed.
