NoGi is back at GB Stafford! 🔺

Last night marked our first NoGi Advanced Class after some time away, and it was great to see everyone back on the mats for a different style of training.

NoGi challenges us to sharpen our movement, control, timing, and ability to adapt without relying on the grips of the Gi. The pace may feel different, but the same principles of discipline, technique, and continuous development remain.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and brought such great energy to the room. Strong training and a great night with the team!

A great day for our GB Stafford Competition Team at the PBJJF VA Summer Open! 🔺

Our young competitors stepped onto the mats with courage, discipline, and confidence. They supported one another, faced every challenge with determination, and represented Gracie Barra Stafford with pride.

We were also proud to have our warrior Angel representing our adult team and leading by example through his commitment and fighting spirit.

The medals are special, but the greatest victories are the lessons, growth, and memories our students carry home. We are proud of every athlete who competed and grateful to the coaches, teammates, and families who supported them throughout the day.

This is what Brotherhood, Integrity, and Development look like in action. Together, we grow stronger.

Last night was a special and bittersweet one at GB Stafford as Coach Shiloh had her last training session with us before heading off to college. ❤️

Shiloh has been part of GB Stafford since Day One. She has grown alongside our school, from student to Coach, and it has been very special to watch her journey over the years.

As the daughter of Professora Jamie and Coach Michael, Jiu-Jitsu and the GB Stafford family have been a big part of her life, and she has become an important part of our community as well.

Shiloh, we are proud of you and wish you nothing but success in this next chapter. Enjoy the experience, keep growing, and know that GB Stafford will always be home.

Whenever you come back for break, your friends, teammates, and Gracie Barra brothers and sisters will be here waiting for you on the mats.

Today’s Open Mat was a little different! 🎂🥋😂

We celebrated Professor Thiago’s birthday the best way we know how, with lots of Jiu-Jitsu, hard rounds, great energy, and plenty of laughs with the GB Stafford family.

And of course, we couldn’t let him leave without a birthday present… a Shark Tank! 🦈 Professor Thiago stayed in the middle while the students took turns to surprise-attack him, round after round.

The second photo pretty much tells you how it ended. 😂 Submissions coming from every direction, arm locks, chokes, foot locks, and a lot of smiles!

Thank you to everyone who came out and made today’s Open Mat such a fun one. This is what Brotherhood looks like. ❤️
