Big Ugly Offensive Line Camp

Players play faster and more aggressively when they know what to do. Linemen at the Big Ugly OL Camp will learn how to recognize defenses and simplify assignments to play faster and more aggressively.

We will focus on the fundamentals of offensive line play with high repetition drill work and teaching. Players will progress in complexity through the 5 sessions building upon the lessons taught in previous sessions. Camp sessions will focus on:

- Stance
- Footwork
- Start / Takeoff
- Balance and Leverage
- Hand Striking
- Overall Speed, Agility and Quickness
- Center Specific Instruction (Including shot-gun and long snapping)
- Individual Blocks (Base, Double Team, Combo, Reach, and Down Blocks)
- Pass Protection (Hard Post, Kick Slide, and Play-Action Jump Sets)

The “Big Ugly” Offensive Lineman Camp is for rising 6th – rising 9th grade players who want to dramatically increase their skill level and understanding of the game of football. The camp is conducted over five 2-hour sessions to provide players both the physical and mental tools to be successful in any situation. Each session is filmed and made available to players outside of the camp to maximize learning even after the camp has ended.
