Forever Bumping for Elise

Forever Bumping for Elise Bumping for Elise began in 2017 to benefit the Velez family and Elise who was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumor (DIPG) in February 2015.

An annual memorial volleyball tournament to raise funds which are donated directly to local families fighting pediatric cancer in honor of Elise who was diagnosed with DIPG (brain tumor) in 2015. Elise passed away March 2018 and the tournament was renamed Forever Bumping for Elise. Since 2018 the tournament has continued with the support of the community to raise money for local families fighting pediatric cancer.

In memory of Elise, our community came together once again for a beautiful day filled with volleyball, love, laughter, and support. 💜💛

This year, we were honored to support Declan and his family. Thanks to the generosity of our players, families, sponsors, volunteers, and everyone who donated, we were able to raise an amazing $5,353 for Declan and his family! 🥹💜

A very special thank you to Dr. Kevin Haselhorst and Milestone Chiropractic Centre for being such an incredible sponsor and helping make the day possible. We are so grateful for your continued support.

A huge thank you to Anysia and the YMCA for always supporting this event and for generously allowing us to use the courts. Your continued support means so much to us and helps make this event possible year after year. 💜

Thank you to all of our amazing volunteers who worked so hard before, during, and after the tournament. From preparing food and keeping everyone fed, to helping with setup, cleanup, registration, and everything in between — we could not have done it without you.

A huge thank you to Steve and Diego for running the tournament, and to every single player who showed up, played hard, and brought such an amazing spirit to the day. Your support means more than you know.

As Elise’s mom, my heart is overflowing with gratitude ahead of what I know will be another incredible memorial tournament in honor of my beautiful daughter Elise💜.

What began as friends coming together to help our family, has grown into something truly special! This tournament is evidence of a community united by purpose, compassion, and the desire to help other families facing childhood cancer.

To every player, volunteer, sponsor, donor, and supporter... THANK YOU!

Your generosity, kindness, and willingness to give your time means more than words can express. Because of you, so many families walking the difficult journey of childhood cancer have received support when they need it most!

Seeing so many people come together to celebrate her life and keep her memory alive is a beautiful reminder that real love never ends💜. Her legacy continues to make a difference through each and everyone of you!

Meet Declan, a brave 9-year-old warrior who is battling pediatric cancer.

Declan was diagnosed with T-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma on August 17, 2025, and since that day, he has faced every challenge with incredible courage. Throughout this difficult journey, he continues to fight alongside his devoted single mother.

We are truly honored to support Declan and his family through our Forever Bumping for Elise Volleyball Tournament fundraiser. Every registration, donation, and act of kindness helps us bring a little joy to him and his family.

It is a late post, but never too late to share beautiful memories. One of the things Nico wanted to do was to go to Kings Dominion. Here some pictures of him at Kings Dominion. Mom said he was able to ride the roller coasters and he had a blast. They are very grateful, so thank you all!
