Pro-4 Race #10 Recap 08/29 Monadnock Speedway 🏎️🥳

Race #10 was a good one! Practice went super well and the #26 LaValley Building Supply Pro-4 Modified was fast out of the box. We gained speed throughout practice and even ran our fastest lap yet with a 13.110, not knowing there was more good to come!

The on-track Pit Party was a success and it was so nice meeting & talking with lots of different fans of all ages! I had the privilege of listening to some cool stories and then even sharing some of my own!

For the heat race we were set to start on the pole, I decided to take the leap of faith and started there. I got to lead the field to green and even got to lead my first pro4 lap, until a fuel cap issue got us the black flag with 4 to go 🫠

This didn’t stop us though! Started 13th in feature #1 and after avoiding a TON of huge wrecks before lap 1 was in the books, driving consistently and pushing my myself to drive the car in deeper, I was able to bring it back into the pits safely with a 5th place finish WITH the fastest lap of the feature and my personal fastest lap of the season (13.036)!

Only 10 of 18 cars started feature #2 and for me starting 10th wasn’t a bad thing. After having an intense battle with the #88 and #67 most of the race and all 3 of us driving behind a car leaking oil for a couple laps… I came home with another 5th place finish!

I would call 2 top 5s and a personal best lap in one night a win! This was the most fun I have had all year with the Pro-4 and there’s still so much learning to do!

There’s so many people to thank for getting me to this point in my career and I’m so happy to be making so much progress in my rookie year! Big thank you to Paul Boivin for this amazing car week in and week out and of course to my sponsors because without their support I wouldn’t be doing this!

Kart Race Recap 08/10 & 8/16

08/10 Stafford Motor Speedway: Nothing out of the ordinary happened during practice for the #26 WTK Sr. Outlaw! Heats rolled around and I started P7 (after a good finish the prior race), but the bottom lane didn’t go so I had to WORK my way through some good cars and was able to manage a 3rd! This put me P9 for the feature which wasn’t a bad thing! The starts were a hot mess and took more attempts than most would like to admit to complete a lap… this was the mood for the whole feature. Salvaged a P4 finish with some motor and mechanical issues, so I was more than happy to take it!

08/16/26: SCM took the kart to Pomfret Speedway Home of TSKC for race #1 of the WTK Challenge Series! This is another one of my home tracks so I was excited! After going through the car, somehow the motor issues from Monday trickled into practice on Sunday, therefore I got very few practice laps. Decided to take the risk and put my older backup motor on! I was able to take down the heat win by over 3/4 of a track, putting the #26 on the pin for the feature! I took the green flag and never looked back until about half way when I felt like I was losing power and then BAM my motor granaded. It’s racing and stuff happens, just a very disappointing & heartbreaking end to the day for everyone ☹️

Hoping the luck will turn around tomorrow when SCM goes back to Stafford for Race #12 of the season & double feature night!

Can’t thank Paul Boivin, my mom, and Precision Velocity Kart Rentals and Support for continuing to provide me with the opportunities to do one of the things I love most 🏎️💕

Pro-4 Race #9 Recap 08/08! 🏎️🏆

I’m speechless as to how perfect of an ending this night had after all the struggles this year! The only goal going into the night was drive the car under the checkered and we did MORE than that Monadnock Speedway!

The SCM #26 LaValley Building Supply Pro-4 modified was 4th quick in first round as I shook down the car and broke in the new motor. During second practice I was able to put it 3rd on the chart, giving us a bit more confidence!

All was good until a pop up thunderstorm storm came through putting us in a holding pattern and after 2 hrs the track was dry, but no heats. While this put us on the pole, I made the smart decision to drop to the rear to put us in a position to test the cars full capabilities while having a better chance at keeping it in one piece!

Started P8 in the feature and by lap 4 made my way up to 4th! From there I had an absolute blast battling with Sophia Ashford for the 3rd spot where on the last lap I was able to set up a good run in 1&2 to get under her on exit and keep it low going into 3&4 to take over the 3rd spot and would take the checkered there!

To make the night even better, the SCM team had some special visitors and friends come to watch! Loved having Mr. Kane, Abby, Brayden, and Meghan at the track last night along with Mr. Boivin! If you don’t know already Abby, Meghan, and I make one good girl crew in the karts on Monday Nights Stafford Motor Speedway!

BIG BIG thank you to Paul and Mr. Kane for building me a stout and fast motor in such a short time after White Mountain. Without them, I wouldn’t have raced the rest of the season nor had the speed to get it done this week. Hopefully we can do it again next race!

Thank you to my sponsors and supporters for sticking with SCM year after year even in the lowest times!

WTK Race Recap #9 07/27 🏎️🫡

Just catching up now on race recap for the WTK and it was eventful to say the least! The night started off good, went a little bit sideways (literally), but overall ended well!

The track was wicked slow in practice, so the SCM crew tried a couple different things out and man did they work! Ended P2 on the time chart for both practices, which was good since I would have to start dead last in the heat (due to a good 3rd place finish the week prior)!

In the heat, I started 6th and was quickly able to make my way through the field and take over the lead by lap 3! This added another heat race win to the SCM book.

For the feature, I started P4 and quietly stayed there while being stuck on the outside for the first 7 laps before a caution occurred. This is where the night went sideways… on lap 8 (not sure what happened as I had been on the outside for most of the race by now racing with the same 4 cars), I got “clipped” and tried to drive up and away from the other driver. With that having no effect, I had to try to turn myself nerf bar out in order to protect myself and the kart before the ENTIRE field piled on top! Every kart from P3-P21 was involved (definitely one of the biggest wrecks I’ve seen & been involved in my 13 seasons in karts). Luckily, no one was seriously injured and the on-track workers were quick to help and check in on everyone! Shout out to Wade and everyone that helps with WTK.

I thought my night was over, but I was optimistic and wasn’t leaving “my ship” until an official made it clear I was done… and that’s when magic happened! Somehow the only damage done was losing breaks and lots of body damage.

Fortunately, I was confident I could handle the kart with no breaks, so to the rear of the field I went (P13). There was 10 laps left and through perseverance, heads-up & strategic driving, and confidence I was able to make my way back up to the front and take home a P4 finish!

After doing maintenance this past weekend, the kart was a total mess and there was some chassis damage found to the rock guard bar along with extensive body damage, but nevertheless it’s all fixed and with a surprise! 😉

Can’t thank Paul Boivin enough for always giving me the best equipment week in and week out, never having to question if the #26 Sr. Outlaw Kart will be speedy 🏎️💨

Race #10 on 08/03 was rained out, so the next kart race is 08/10!
