For many Veterans and Families…Memorial Day isn’t a day off or an extended weekend, it’s not a BBQ or a day at the beach…
It’s a painful reminder of a fallen friend…
Both of my Grandfathers served in WWII. I can’t imagine what they must have felt leaving their homes in Florida and Louisiana to Fight on foreign soil knowing they may not return to their families.
Men and Women are in the Service of our Great Nation right now around the world in some of the harshest environments imaginable and they do it for their Country, Their families and for All of US back home…
Remember those who have died fighting and those that have lost friends on the battlefield…
In 1868 General John Logan said “remember the graves of comrades who died in defense of their country, and whose bodies now lie in almost every city, village and hamlet churchyard in the land”.
The sacrifices of Men an Women like those are why we live in the Land of the FREE & the Home of the BRAVE…
Don’t Forget! Honor the Fallen and Comfort those who have lost their loved ones and friends!
If there are Veterans or families of Veterans in your life who have experienced this loss first hand, be there to listen, comfort and remember with them the sacrifices that have been made…
