WEEKEND RECAP | Women’s Team Race Nationals

This past weekend our Ladyhawks competed at Women’s Team Race Nationals. Our women’s team has worked extremely hard to qualify this year. In fact this is the first time in SMC history that our women’s team has made it to Team Race Nationals. In addition, between open and women’s team race fleets, only 8 schools were able to compete in both nationals. We are so proud to be apart of that group. Now we are looking forward to Fleet Race Nationals!

WEEKEND RECAP | Open Team Race Nationals

This past week the coed team competed at Team Race Nationals in New Orleans, LA. Our brand new team worked tirelessly to qualify to be one of the top 16 teams in the nation. After two days of tough racing the Seahawks ended in 14th. Thank you for hosting! Now it’s time to dial in for fleet race nationals!

This weekend we sent two teams to compete. The coed team trekked up to upstate New York for the Prosser and the Women traveled up to Connecticut for the Emily Wick.

The Lady Hawks sailed in sporty breeze this weekend leading them to place 6th overall. Thank you to for hosting!

The Prosser, hosted by , had beautiful breeze and two long days of racing. The team finished 4th overall leaving a spot at team race nationals up to the selection committee.

This past weekend we had Seahawks competing at Kings Point and Boston College.

Our Coed team journeyed up to Boston College for the Lynn Marchiando Trophy Team Race. The Seahawks persevered through the shifty northerly wind and chilly weather! Thank you !

Our Lady-Hawks raced in the MAISA Spring Women’s Fleet Race Championship. Good job for pushing through the windy weekend! !

WEEKEND RECAP | Week 4

This weekend the Seahawks sailed at three regattas, hosting one of them.

The Coed team traveled up to Kings Point, New York for the KP Open Team Race. Beautiful, big breeze and close races brought the team to finish third 🥉

Our Women’s Team took a little journey up to D.C. for the Blaire Herron Memorial Women’s Team Race. Light conditions ensued and the Lady hawks finished 5th overall. Throttle down Lady Hawks!

At home we hosted and competed in the Seahawk Team Race. Very light breeze both days brought the Seahawks to finish third 🥉

WEEKEND RECAP | WEEK 3

Last weekend, we hosted the St. Mary’s Women’s Inter-Conference and competed at the Graham Hall Team Race.

At home, Saturday brought tricky conditions that made racing difficult, but Sunday’s steady northeast breeze allowed for a great day of fleet racing. Thanks to all who
competed!

Our coed team traveled to Navy for the Graham Hall Team Race, with breeze ranging from 6–20 knots allowing for a full weekend of racing. Thank you for hosting!
