Truly hard to believe that this dude turns 18 years old today. I can’t express how proud I am of your drive and work ethic you’ve shown, and continue to show in all the things you do. Keep doing big things and keep chasing your dreams. While I miss being your coach since the little guy in the pictures below, I cherish every moment over the years I was able to do it. Now I’m just as excited to just be dad in the stands, as well as your biggest fan. Happy birthday Parker! 🎂

Today Parker graduated with the last senior class ever from St. Maria Goretti High School. This young man has juggled a crazy schedule and workload this spring in order to graduate a whole year early. This has included extra classes online, late nights and early mornings studying, staying after school, etc… A ton of blood, sweat, and tears behind the scenes that most people don’t know about to make this all happen. All while also playing baseball for the Gaels and having a huge spring with his team despite the pressure he was under. Couldn’t be more proud of him for what he has accomplished, and the relentless work ethic he shows. Big things ahead for him and looking forward to his next chapter at Virginia Tech in the fall. Congrats to the entire St Maria Goretti HS class of 2024!

This morning Hayden graduated from the University of Maryland with his degree in Journalism. This young man has been a Maryland Terrapin since he was 4 years old, so to see him be able to live that out the past few years and all the acquaintances he’s been able to make, and experiences he’s had here is a pretty awesome thing. This guy is good at what he does and I’m excited to see what’s next. To say I’m proud of him is a huge understatement.

Today is bittersweet for sure. This afternoon the 19-4 Goretti Gaels go for their 20th win on the season as well as their 3rd consecutive league championship. This will be the final game ever played by a St Maria Goretti baseball team. I’m grateful that Parker had the opportunity to play with such a great program for 3 years of high school, and the friendships we have all built. Thank you coaches for for all you have done to help mold our sons into better players and better young men.

Today Cooper graduated from St Mary’s College of Maryland with a Bachelor’s of Science in Environmental Studies. Couldn’t be more proud of this young man for what he’s accomplished at just 19, while also pushing through some challenges and adversity. But he grinded and stayed the course. On to the next chapter for him, and I can’t wait to see what’s ahead for him. One graduation down, two more boys still to go this spring…

I’ve got to say, this one is now hitting home big time… So much can change in a few months. Didn’t seem as real back in January when Parker made the decision to graduate a year early, but now it has become very real. Bittersweet to say the least, but I’m proud of this kid for betting on himself.

Today Parker officially signed his letter of intent to become a Virginia Tech Hokie. I couldn’t be more proud of his accomplishments both on and off the field. He has earned everything that has come his way so far and does all the work that it takes to be successful at the next level. A lot of work that nobody sees. Whether it’s 5 am workouts before school, late nights, early mornings, and weekends spent doing extra school work because of the workload on him this spring in order to graduate a year early, paying attention to his nutrition, etc… he embraces the grind. I know I may be partial because I’m dad- but I will always give him the credit for doing all the correct things that it takes, and putting in the hard work. While it’s bittersweet that his process has been sped up a year, I’m excited for the next chapter for him, and the bright future he has ahead. Also a HUGE thank you to Coach Greg Eversole for all your support throughout this entire process. 🦃

MSABC Pre-Season All State Banquet. Congratulations to all the players across rhe state nominated, as well as coaches receiving rewards. It was great seeing former teammates of mine as well as coaches and friends.

Big congratulations to coach Greg Eversole for being nominated to the MSABC Hall of Fame. There isn’t another coach or person more deserving of this honor. Thank you for being not just a great coach- but also a mentor, a tutor, a counselor when needed, a fixer of many problems, among other things that not everyone knows or sees. In this last spring season of Goretti baseball, I’m 💯 certain that our young men are going to make your last spring the best one yet…
