Louis Schuetzenverein will soon be celebrating our 60th anniversary. We are a social organization and also compete in Olympic style competitions using air rifles and air pistols. The organization was founded with seven members in 1961, and today is proud to boast over seven times that. We accept both men and women into our organization who share an interest in German Culture, traditions, language, and competitive shooting (upon membership approval, per our bylaws.) Our meetings are held in English but those wishing to practice German are encouraged to do so. Our Organization meets on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of every month at 7:30 p.m.

Today in the states is National Dog Day!
It was started in 2004 by the animal welfare advocate Colleen Paige. The primary purpose of the day is to encourage adoption from shelters vs breeders and pet stores and show that both mixed breeds and pure breeds are wonderful companions.

We brought home 4 of the raffle baskets! (And by bringing home, I mean we actually ate all the snacks and had dark & stormies at the after party and only the wursts and New Glarus made it home).
