DDC's 2026/2027 Auditions are next weekend!

If you haven't registered already please do so prior to your audition date.
If you are interested in auditioning and this will be your first year please reach out to Artistic Director Sandy Morgan.

THE NUTCRACKER
- Dancers should wear proper ballet attire (tights, black leotard, ballet shoes) and hair should be pulled back into a neat bun.
- Audition will be ballet technique only

COMPANY
- Dancers should wear all black form-fitting attire with hair pulled neatly back away from the face
- Audition will primarily consist of jazz, lyrical, and contemporary

We have a variety of leotard, skirts, pants, and tops for you to choose from. Don't forget to stop by and take a look when you're in class this week!

DDC has no registration fee and offers free trial classes for new students.

Scholarship applications are open year round and all application information can be found on our website.

A glimpse into the wonderful summer we've had so far!

From making new friends at camp to working on technique at the ballet intensive, we love the time we get to spend together during the summer. We can't wait to see what the rest of the summer has in store!

✨ Our fourth and final 2026 senior is Sahasra! ✨

Sahasra has been at DDC for 11 years and will be attending WashU in the fall to study biology on the pre-med track.

Sahasra's favorite piece to perform was "Velvet Pants" because "it was a really fun, upbeat jazz dance with quick choreography and a little bit of everything, from jumps to turns to poses with a lot of sass." Sahasra was also part of DDC's Nutcracker with her favorite role being the Coffee soloist. She "loved being able to incorporate parts of my Bharatanatyam dancing and make it my own."

Her favorite memories are "getting food between rehearsals and classes, and al lthe laughs and fun convos with everyone in between."

Her advice to younger dancers: "The best dancers aren't perfect; they're confident, passionate, and always willing to learn from their mistakes."

Sahasra, it has been so much fun watching you become the dancer and person you are today. We can't wait to see where life takes you! 💕

✨Our third senior is Lily! ✨

Lily has been dancing at Dimensions for the past 14 years, and will be attending Georgetown University in the fall!

Lily's favorite piece she has performed in was "Starmachine 2000." "I remember watching the older girls practice the first version of it, so I was really excited to be in it the second time." Lily was also in DDC's production of the Nutcracker. Her favorite role was "Sugarplum, because I liked being able to include my favorite steps in the variation."

Her advice for younger dancers: "Stretch at home and focus on applying all corrections in class, even if they aren't specifically directed towards you."

Lily, we have loved watching you become an wonderful dancer and person throughout the years. We know you will accomplish amazing things in the future! 💕
