Please visit diannalucas.com for information and registration. All levels welcome, no prior experience required. Hi and welcome to Grand Basin Yoga! My classes offer inspiration from many traditions and include meditation, intention setting, calling in the elements, and directions, pranayama and appropriately challenging asana. Classes are very focused but delivered with a sense of humor. The pra

ctices are based upon the yogis who come to class. I check in to see what the students need each time and craft my session from there. I also include energy work during practice and offer verbal guidance and cueing. I make adjustments when necessary but I prefer for my students to get to the pose naturally and over time feeling them in their own bodies. It is a very personal experience. Classes are typically 60 to 70 minutes and I often play singing bowls with guided meditation/visualization along with time for silence during savasana. The music comes from the fountains of overflowing joy. All levels are welcome and practice is meant to inspire not discourage beginners. The community is very welcoming and diverse. There is often live music and opportunities to connect with other students after classes. Register via www.diannalucas.com

“We know how important outdoor green spaces are especially at this time, and this destination will be a fantastic new offering for St. Louisans and visitors to the region.” - Greg Hayes, Director of Parks Recreation and Forestry for City of St. Louis Government

Five years ago today, 17 acres of turf grass in Forest Park was transformed into an experiential play space with natural landscapes. The Anne O’C. Albrecht Nature Playscape opened on June 2, 2021 and it has quickly become one of the most beloved spaces in the best city park.

Happy end of May weekend everyone!
Thank you to all of our new followers!
Thank you if you’ve been following all these years.
This is the “perfect weather” for practice.
To be fair, All weather is perfect for practice in the most beautiful studio in STL!
Weekend mornings are beautiful and peaceful at 8am and there’s still plenty of time to get to the farmers market after practice.
St. Louis Shakespeare Festival has begun and it’s my favorite festival and my favorite play-
And you can come to practice at 6pm and still get a spot in the Glen.
What are your favorite things about practicing at the Basin?
If you have not been to practice yet, what’s keeping you?
