The 2026 Prevagen U.S. Figure Skating Championships have been named a finalist for Best Amateur Sports Event in the 2026 SportsTravel Awards.

More than 91,000 fans experienced the Championships, and the event generated $15.8 million in regional economic impact.

Figure skating fans arrived skeptical of St. Louis. Many left impressed with the city.

New survey results highlight the positive impact of hosting major sporting events and the lasting impression St. Louis makes on visitors.

In addition to impressing Alysa Liu and Ilia Malinin, a survey found St. Louis changed plenty of minds during January’s U.S. Figure Skating Championships.
