Game two of the Arch 'C' Over 50 Championship saw the Ole Knights come out fast and strong, scoring four goals in the first 16 minutes!

Yuhang Sun got things started for the Knights, assisted by John 'KIller' Schlueter and Tim Mulder at the 13:00 mark. Steve Wild then netted a goal a minute later, assisted by Trae Leahy. The Knights weren't done, as Jason Bergfeld scored an unassisted gino at 6:00 then Shawn Bogener scored, assisted by Wild.

The second period saw Bergfeld score again, assisted by Justin Lopinot and Stephen Clark. Jason then netted his 'Hatty' with a third goal (unassisted) at 20 second left in the period. Knights 6, Underdogs zip at the end of two...

Tim Mulder scored an unassisted goal at 14:40 to close out scoring for the Knights, followed by two tallies by Bucholz and Nazar for the Underdogs to make the final Knights 7, 'Dogs 2 for the 'C' Division Championship of the Arch Over 50 League.

The 'friendly rivalry' between the Ole Knights and the Underdogs saw teams trade victories and lots of competitive games, all followed by 'Fellowship' on the Creve Coeur Ice Rink parking lot!

The Over 50 Knights met friendly rivals the Urban Underdogs for the Arch Over 50 'C' Championship. The best of three series started with a close game, with the Underdogs in it until the last minute of the game.

Justin Lopinot got things started for the Knights with an unassisted goal at 6:00 left in the first. Trae Leahy added a second tally, with assists from Shawn Bogener and Justin Lopinot to make it Knights 2, 'Dogs 0 at the end of one.

Trae got things going for the Knights again with a goal at 9:00 left in the second period, assisted by Jason Bergfeld. The Underdogs answered with a goal by Joe Meyer at 1:20 left in the period, making it Knights 3, 'Dogs 1.

The 'Dogs Birkenmeier tallied a goal in mid third period to bring the 'Dogs within one goal at 6:40, but Trae Leahy scored an empty netter with twenty sconds left to make it Knights 4, 'Dogs 2.

The 'Sunday Knights' team met their Arch Rivals, the Shockers, in a high scoring affair July 27th at Creve Coeur.

The Knights got out in front with an unassisted goal from Grant Rieger at 4:20 left in the first period. Vinny Milburn followed with an unassisted gino a minute and twenty seconds later to make it Knights 2, Shockers 0.

Well, the Shockers poured on the offense in the second period with three goals from Greene (two goals) and DiMaggio, tying the score at 2-2. Kyle Bauer then scored with a buck forty left in the second on a pass from Grant Rieger. Knights 3, Shockers 2 at the end of two.

Shawn Bogener scored for the good guys at 11:40 left in the third, on assists from Bauer and Clayton Rieger, but it was all Shockers from there to the final buzzer with Meinhardt, Greene, and Snyder scoring three unanswered goals to make it Shockers 6, Knights 4.

The 'Sunday Knights' played the Shamrock Wings in an Arch League contest on July 12th at Creve Coeur. Strong defense from. both teams dominated play.

Baur scored for the Shamrocks in the first period, assisted by #41 for the 'Rocks. It remained a tight-checking affair, with both teams trading chances until Justin Gallina scored on a pass from Kyle Bauer at 6:10 left in the third period. The Shamrocks added the final tally with 10 tics left on the clock to win 2-1.

With the HNA Knights winning the C3B Division and taking second in the HNA Championships in Toronto in July, we're having some fun passing around our HNA 'Cups' for each player to have their "...Day with the Cup!"

Our first player with the HNA St. Louis Championship Cup is one of the 1997 Founders of the St. Louis Knights, Shawn Bogener! Shawn helped keep us all organized and dealt with all the B.S. that goes along with being team captain for the first several years of the Knights existence.

Shawn had one goal and four assist for the HNA Knights and also plays for the 'Sunday Knights' team. He's always been willing to step up and fill in for any needed position and is a supportive and valued teammate!

The St. Louis Knights Hockey Club got together Saturday, August 1st to celebrate the (work) retirement of longtime goaltender D.J. 'Fisch' Fischer. Donnie Hulke flew in from North Carolina with his lovely better half, and eleven OG Knights showed up to toast Fisch and celebrate good times and hockey friendships.
