I will admit that as I get older I’m not quite aggressive as I was when I was younger. I see people post pictures off in the distance of boats that get to close but now a days as long as people don’t actually hit me I have to be ok with whatever. This is just a small example of what we deal with while fishing the STURGEON CAPITAL OF MICHIGAN. Don’t rely on the USCG or the ST CLAIR COUNTY SHERIFF. As fishermen we have equal rights to engage in fishing as other do just driving around. Apparently every dump s**t driving a car also has a boat. If you want to drive a boat no matter how drunk you are or how stupid you can be please come to the North Channel. There’s no laws about speed, distance or responsibility of your own wake so come on down. I just recently seen the USCG in the last week after years and the first thing I see is them hassling a boat fishing. This has got to be the most unregulated recreational boating area in existence. I don’t blame the USCG or the ST CLAIR COUNTY SHERIFF but the lack of personal for such a busy waterway. It’s a free for all most days of the week and something needs to be done.
