The Scorpionfish is a master of camouflage, sitting patiently on the bottom waiting for a meal just to swim by. The red you see in the picture is enhanced by the photographer’s flash, in natural light it blends in perfectly. It is related to the Lionfish and its dorsal fins have poisonous spines.
