Supporting one of our own

It is with an incredibly heavy heart that we share some deeply sad news regarding a member of our AYSO soccer family. A couple of nights ago, one of our young players suddenly lost their mother.

This is an unimaginable tragedy for this family, and as a community, we want to do everything we can to wrap them in love and support.

Registration is NOW OPEN for the Fall 2026 Season! ⚽

Dear AYSO Region 158 Families,
The wait is over! Registration for the Fall 2026 soccer season is officially open. We are incredibly excited to welcome our returning players and meet new families as we kick off another fantastic year of player development, teamwork, and fun.

To ensure a smooth kickoff, please review a few critical updates for the upcoming season:

1. 🚀 New Registration Platform – Action Required!
We have transitioned to a brand-new registration platform (PlayMetrics). Because this is a completely new system, all families will need to create a new account to register their players.
The new platform is incredibly user-friendly and will streamline scheduling, communication, and registration moving forward. Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we make this exciting upgrade!

2. ⏳ Secure Early Bird Pricing
Don't wait! Register early and save. Take advantage of our Early Bird Pricing, available from now until June 1st. Lock in the best rate for the season before regular pricing takes effect.

3. 👕 New Uniform Ordering Procedure
We have a brand-new uniform procurement system this year through Flite Sports! We are moving to a convenient direct-to-home shipping model on a fixed two-year cycle.
Please make sure to review the new uniform ordering instructions closely during the registration process to ensure your player gets their kit on time.

The "Elite Competition" Proof

Think you have to pay $3,000 to play in the State Cup? Think again.

At GLA St. Clair Shores, we’ve seen the "Big Club" model, and we’re doing things differently. A higher price tag doesn't make a player run faster or a coach care more. It just makes the game harder for families to afford.

We believe elite competition should be earned on the pitch, not bought with a massive check. Our teams are currently competing at the highest levels in Michigan:
🏆 State Cup & Jr. State Cup
🏆 MSPSP (Michigan State Premier Soccer Program)
🏆 MYSL (Michigan Youth Soccer League)

All of this for an annual cost of $600 – $900.
We invest in our players, our coaching, and our community—not in corporate overhead. If you're looking for professional development and elite competition without the inflated fees, your home is with the Alliance.

⚽ AYSO Region 158 – Spring Season Update! ⚽

Spring soccer is almost here! Here’s a quick update as we get ready to kick off the season:

📋 Rosters are being finalized and will be released soon.
📅 Season starts the week of April 20

🙋‍♂️ We Need a Few Volunteers!

To keep our program running smoothly, we’re looking for:

• Playground/Schoolyard: A couple parent helpers (we’ve added a professional coach to run sessions!)
• U6: 2 coaches
• U8: 1 coach
• U10: 1 coach

No experience needed — we provide training and full practice plans through the MOJO app.

🟦🟨 Referees Needed – Two Options!

We’re also looking for referees this spring:

Volunteer Referee
✔ Your children play for free
✔ All equipment + training provided

Paid Referee
💵 Get paid per game
✔ Training provided
🛒 Must purchase your own equipment
