Here's why I got into roller derby: I was looking for a community. During the time I joined, I was going through a challenging time in my life and roller derby helped me stay grounded, literally haha. The roller derby community has been nothing but supportive, so I think anybody who wants a sense of community and wants to stay grounded should do this sport.
