POTD (pose of the day)
🧵 Thread the Needle Pose
An easy, grounding twist that releases tension in the shoulders, neck, and upper back, perfect for slowing down and resetting your body 🤍
🧘♀️ How to do the pose (Directions)
Start in Tabletop (hands under shoulders, knees under hips)
Inhale, reach your right arm up toward the sky 🌬️
Exhale, “thread” your right arm underneath your body
Lower your right shoulder and the side of your head to the mat
Keep your hips lifted over your knees
Stay for 5–10 breaths, then switch sides
📐 Alignment (Do It Well)
✨ Keep your hips stacked over your knees (don’t let them drift back)
✨ Press gently into your grounded hand for stability
✨ Avoid dumping weight into your neck, support through your shoulder
✨ Let the twist come from your upper back, not your lower back
✨ Use a block or blanket under your head/shoulder for support if needed
