In an effort to make trail running and racing more accessible, widespread and fun, we have created a free trail race series in Utah. Many of Utah's trails are underutilized, unknown and under-appreciated. BEAST Trail Running and Racing strives to change all of those things. The vision we have is creating a free trail race every month from March until October. It is our goal to avoid conflicting wi

th other popular trail races in the area as well. Two weeks before each race, the race director will run the course, upload GPS information, create the event and get started! We will post maps, registration information, course information, and then proceed to answer any questions you post on our page or the event page. Depending on the success of each race, we will then proceed to create a race for the subsequent month following the aforementioned process. While the race registration is free, there will be t-shirts and food for purchase following each race. We will let you know what will be provided so you can plan ahead!

"Cross country was dropped from the Olympics after the 1924 Games in Paris when 23 of the 38 starters failed to finish due to the extreme heat and poisonous fumes from a nearby energy plant." Hm. I don't know about you, but that doesn't sound like a great reason to discontinue an Olympic event.
