On May 12, 1925, the very first pitch was thrown on these grounds — then called Reservoir Park — by none other than the Commissioner of Baseball himself, Kennesaw Mountain Landis. That pitch didn’t just start a game… it started a legacy.
For a full century, this field has seen generations of players chase their dreams, fans fill the stands with cheers, and the spirit of baseball thrive right here in the heart of Springfield.
