We’re proud of the work and dedication he has shown both academically and in judo throughout his time at Longwood.

Kosei will also be continuing his education by pursuing a master’s degree in Kinesiology at George Mason University.

Congratulations to our athletes on an incredible performance at the 2026 USA Judo Senior National Championships!

🥈 Yasmin Alamin: Silver Medalist
-Won her opening match in just 22 seconds by ippon

🥇🥉 Kai Hanada: IJF Junior Champion & Senior Division Bronze Medalist
-Won 4 matches in the Senior division, with 3 victories by ippon
-Fastest win: 32-second ippon
-Finished the weekend with an impressive total of 7 match victories across both divisions

4️⃣ Heydar Abdullayev: 4th Place
-Opened the tournament with a 31-second ippon victory

Congratulations to May Cuyler on an outstanding performance at the 2026 U20 Women’s World Team Trials in Spokane, Washington!

May went 4-1 on the weekend, earning 2nd place and securing her spot on the US World Team. She will represent Team USA this July in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil at the Pan-American Championships. We are so incredibly proud of you 🤍 Way to go, May!
