Starting something new can be nerve racking, especially when you’re walking into a room full of people who already have experience. But Paul took that first step, got on the mats, worked hard, and quickly discovered that he had a team cheering him on every step of the way!

Paul, we absolutely loved having you in our BJJ class! Your kind words about our coaches, students, and the atmosphere here truly means more than you know.

What an incredible evening for our Kids and Adult students! 🎉

We had two amazing seminars and promotions filled with learning, hard work, excitement, and plenty of moments worth celebrating! From our youngest students to our adults, everyone brought their best to the mat. 👏

Monday evening’s Adult BJJ class was our BIGGEST class yet! We had an incredible 27 adults step onto the mats, ready to train, learn, and put in the work! 💪🔥

Seeing this program continue to grow is truly something we’re grateful for. Every class, more people are stepping through the doors, challenging themselves, building friendships, and becoming part of our BJJ community. 🙌

Thank you to everyone who continues to show up, work hard, and help make our Adult BJJ program what it is today. We can’t wait to see how far this team goes!

Veterans & Law Enforcement Showing Up Strong 🇺🇸🥋

What an incredible showing tonight at America’s Best Martial Arts – EffinghamCombat Academy.

Veterans, Firefighters and law-enforcement professionals came together to train, sharpen their skills, challenge one another, and continue building the warrior mindset that doesn’t stop when the uniform comes off.

This is what the Lazarus Project is about.

It’s about finding purpose through action. Building relationships through shared hardship. Staying physically and mentally prepared. And creating a community where veterans and first responders know they still have a team in their corner.

Different backgrounds. Different experiences. One mat. One team.

Train hard. Stay ready. Never stop moving forward.

Huge respect to everyone who showed up and put in the work tonight. This is how we build stronger people, stronger families, and stronger communities.

Russell, we love having you in our Adult BJJ program! Watching your growth, dedication, and confidence over time has been amazing. You continue to do an incredible job, and we’re so proud of how far you’ve come! 💪🔥

We also love having Sutton and Margot in our Lil’Wrestlers program! They work so hard, have so much fun, and continue to grow every time they step on the mat. 🤼‍♀️

We had two of our Adult BJJ students step onto the mats this weekend for the Jiu-Jitsu Tournament, and we couldn’t be more proud of them! 💪

Congratulations, Gilbert and Anthony! 👏 You both showed up, put in the work, and represented our team with determination and heart. Every time you step onto the mat is an opportunity to learn, grow, and challenge yourself and you both did an amazing job!

We had 5 of our JR BJJ students step onto the mats this weekend for the Jiu-Jitsu Tournament, and we couldn’t be more proud! 💪🏆

Congratulations, Levi, Charlee, Blakely, Kadence, and Lily! 🎉 You all did an AMAZING job! Watching you step out of your comfort zones, compete, work hard, and give it your all was incredible to see!

Win or lose, getting out there and putting your skills to the test takes courage, confidence, and determination and each of you showed all three! 👏🔥

Review of the Week ⭐️

Reviews like this truly mean so much to our team! Hearing that our instructors are making an impact by teaching our students patience, discipline, and respect is exactly what martial arts is all about.

We believe martial arts is about so much more than learning techniques. It’s about helping our students become more confident, disciplined, patient, and respectful individuals both on and off the mats. Seeing these values grow in our students is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.

We also absolutely love having Larry as part of our Jiu-Jitsu program! 🥋 He is doing an amazing job, and we’ve loved watching him continue to learn, grow, and challenge himself with every class. We’re so proud of the progress he’s making!
