Young Bucks Camp is one of our favorite weeks of the summer.

There is something special about getting to invest in young men at such an early age and helping lay a foundation that can impact the rest of their lives.

One of the most rewarding parts is seeing some of these boys come back year after year. Watching them grow in confidence, maturity, character, and faith reminds us why we do this.

As camp gets underway, we’d love your prayers. Pray that the boys have an incredible time, even with the rain. Pray for safety, great friendships, and unforgettable memories.

Most importantly, pray that they encounter the love, grace, and truth that are found only in Jesus Christ in a powerful and life-changing way.

Breakfast with some of our apprentice guides for the upcoming Young Bucks camp this morning. (Plus a special guest appearance of Huck Finn there in the front that’ll be one of the campers 😂)

One of the things I’m most excited about right now is the future of discipleship in Cross Trail Outfitters - Missouri

For years we’ve invested in kids. Now we’re becoming even more intentional about investing in the young men who will one day lead those kids.

More details will be coming in the months ahead, but God is definitely on the move. We’re watching Him raise up the next generation of leaders, guides, mentors, husbands, fathers, and disciples of Christ.

The future is bright, and I can’t wait to see what He does next.

The final campfire is always one of the most powerful moments of the week.

The fishing is fun. The shooting is fun. The games, laughs, and adventures are all part of what makes camp special.

But this is why we’re here.

As the sun goes down and the distractions fade away, young men gather around the cross to hear about Jesus, wrestle with difficult questions, confess struggles, break free from burdens they’ve been carrying, and make decisions that can change the course of their lives forever.

This is where friendships deepen. This is where faith becomes personal. This is where God often does some of His greatest work.

These moments make every fundraiser, every planning meeting, every volunteer hour, every mile driven, and every late night worth it.

Please join us in praying for these young men as they continue to learn what it means to “Press On” and follow Christ with their whole lives.

Oh, you know... just over here reflecting and giving thanks for the way God is moving in the lives of today's youth. 🙌

There is nothing quite like witnessing a young person publicly declare their faith in Jesus. Last Friday, we had the privilege of celebrating Aydenn's baptism, and we're still rejoicing over what God is doing in his life.

Congratulations again, Aydenn! We're praying that you continue to grow in your faith and boldly follow Christ wherever He leads.

Before the boats hit the water on the final day of Fishing Camp #1, we stopped to pray.

That’s one of the things that makes Cross Trail Outfitters different.

Sure, we’ve caught fish. We’ve laughed until our sides hurt. We’ve made memories that these boys will talk about for years. But our goal has never been just to fill a boat with fish.

Our goal is to help fill young lives with truth.

This week these boys have spent time learning about Joseph and what it means to “Press On” even when life gets difficult. They’ve built friendships, gained confidence, learned new skills, and spent time with godly men who care about them.

The fish are a bonus.

The relationships, conversations, and opportunities to point the next generation toward Christ are what matter most.

Thank you to every guide, volunteer, boat captain, cook, supporter, and person praying behind the scenes. You are making an eternal difference in the lives of these young men.
