Taking care of it ahead of time can help registration move faster and get everyone on the water sooner.

Frequently Asked Questions

❓ I’m a throttleman. Which membership should I choose?
For membership purposes, drivers and throttlemen are treated the same. If you’re in the race boat, select Driver/Owner or Driver.

❓ The driver or throttleman I’m adding to my boat doesn’t appear in Trackside.
They may be new to the system, or their membership may still be processing. Enter a placeholder name for now and let APBA staff know. We can update it on the back end.

❓ Do crew members need memberships?
Yes. Anyone entering restricted race areas—including the crane area, race course, and other controlled locations—must have an active APBA membership.

❓ Can multiple people share one Trackside account?
No. Every APBA member needs an individual Trackside account and email address. Each member must personally complete the required waivers and legal documents.

❓ What if my membership card doesn’t arrive before Key West?
Bring a screenshot or printed copy of your membership payment confirmation. We can verify your membership onsite, and proof of payment helps our registration and scoring teams.

❓ How long does it take to receive my membership card?
Please allow 7–10 business days, and make sure your mailing address is current.

One more reminder: You can upload your capsule training certificate and physical to your Trackside profile, but it’s always a good idea to bring printed copies with you to every race.
