Hey OPAI Students- Next week during classes we will have Halloween Spirit Week! 👻🎃✨

During your class next week, you can either wear your halloween costume, or participate in the spirit day instead of your normal class dress code. We created the different spirit days this year so that those of us who are at the studio multiple days a week don’t end up wearing our halloween costume 4 times in a row! But, if you are only here one day a week, feel free to just wear your costume!

Please keep in mind that your safety is still important. If your costume has a wig that could fly off, is really long and a tripping hazard, or has jeans or things you can’t move in- maybe modify it so that you can still safely take class. Masks will not be allowed during class time. Still wear appropriate dance shoes as well!

We send our deepest sympathies for the loss of Mark. Our hearts are with his family, friends, colleagues and dancers. May they carry his spirit on and dance with a little more passion today. 🤍

It is with sadness and a heavy heart that I share the following announcement.

Our studio owner, Mr. Mark Cummings passed away suddenly yesterday, September 23.

The studio will be closed for the remainder of the week and I will be in contact via email regarding classes for next week.

Mr. Mark was a wonderful man and inspiring teacher to all and we hold so much love in our hearts for him.

As the Artistic Director of Gary Geis School of Dance & Dance Company, my staff and I are committed to continuing the legacy’s of both Mr. Gary and Mr. Mark in our work at the studio.

I will share service information once I receive it.

Please let me know if there is anything I can do to support you and your dancers during this emotionally difficult time.
