**HURRICANE ON THE CHAIN – RACE CANCELED**
Please read the following message from the race director, Kris Shepard.
“Due to high water conditions, state guidelines have been implemented restricting **Lake Marie in Antioch, Illinois, to No Wake / Idle Only**.
Unfortunately, these conditions prevent us from safely holding this weekend’s **Hurricane on the Chain** boat races.
We regret to announce that **Hurricane on the Chain has been canceled for this weekend**.
The safety of our racers, spectators, volunteers, and everyone on the Chain O’ Lakes remains our top priority.
Events like Hurricane on the Chain would not be possible without the tremendous support and cooperation of our local government agencies and first responders, including the **Fox Waterway Agency, Lake County Sheriff’s Office, Illinois Conservation Police, and Antioch Fire Department**. We sincerely thank them for everything they do to help make events like this possible and to keep everyone on the water safe.
We also want to thank our racers, sponsors, volunteers, spectators, and the entire community for their continued support and understanding.
**We appreciate everyone’s support and look forward to hosting racing in 2027.**
‼Racers and race fans‼ Hurricane on the Chain, hosted by Sandbar on Lake Marie is this weekend, Saturday 9/26-Sunday 9/27. NAC's for 500CCR and 700CCR are to be held here this weekend🏆
